Hunter Glass is Opening a New Showroom in Darfield

We’re excited to announce the public opening event for our brand new Hunter Glass Darfield showroom on Saturday 10 May!
Founded in 2014 by husband-and-wife team, Grant and Malin Hunter, Hunter Glass has proudly served the Selwyn District community for more than a decade. With Grant’s 30 years of experience in the glass industry and Malin’s expertise in administration, they’ve built a glazing company focused on delivering quality and customer care.
As part of our celebrations we’re hosting a Cutest Pet Competition, with the prize of an installed cat door for one lucky winner! Whether you want to treat your own furry friend or gift it to someone special, we’re excited to see all your adorable pets. We'll have your entries up on display, so put your best paw forward!!

Post a Photo:
Share a photo of your pet in the comments section of the competition post. That’s it – you're in the draw! -
One Entry per Person:
Each person may submit only one entry. Make it your cutest shot!
Prize:
-
Supply & Install of a Standard Quality Cat Door in existing annealed glass, or
-
$200 Credit towards the supply & installation of a pet door, including GST. The prize is available for delivery and installation at one Canterbury address.
Important Dates:

Competition Start Date: Thursday 24 April

Competition End Date: Saturday 10 May – Entries must be submitted by 1.30 pm on this date.

Winner Announcement Date: Monday 12 May – The winner will be announced on our Facebook page and contacted via Facebook Messenger, so keep your eyes peeled.

Eligibility:
This competition is open to residents of Canterbury, New Zealand, who are 18 years or older. Only one entry per person is allowed.

How to Enter:

Visit our Hunter Glass Facebook Page and find the pinned post about the Cutest Pet Competition.

Add a photo of your pet in the comments section of the competition post to enter - and share their name as well.

Prize:
The winner will receive either:-
A supply and installation of a standard quality cat door in existing annealed glass, or
-
$200 credit towards the supply and installation of a pet door, including GST.

The prize is available for delivery and installation at one Canterbury address.

Winner Selection:
The winner will be chosen by the Hunter Glass team (aka our animal-lovers department), based on which pet is deemed the cutest at our public Showroom Opening Event on Saturday 10 May 2025. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Definition of a Pet:
A pet is an animal that lives with you at home and is part of the family. Pets can be furry, fluffy, feathery or even scaly – like dogs, cats, birds, or rabbits – and they bring fun, friendship, and love into our lives

Competition Period:
The competition begins when the post is published and ends at 1.30pm on Saturday 10 May.

Winner Notification:
The winner will be announced on the Hunter Glass Facebook Page on Monday 12 May 2025. The winner will be contacted via Facebook Messenger to arrange prize delivery and installation.

Conditions of Entry:

By entering, you confirm that you are the pet owner or have permission to submit the photo of the pet.

You agree that your pet’s photo may be used for promotional purposes by Hunter Glass on social media and other marketing materials, eg posting the winner on Facebook on Monday 12 May.

AI images will not be considered entries.

Hunter Glass reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of any of these terms and conditions.

The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
